ATTN Dipset Fans: The Diplomats Reunite!?
At first it was ALL speculation…but it seems that the rumors are true! The Diplomats have reunited and are working on a project together! Cam’ron recently told MTV all about it…but I just want to be real clear with why this Diplomats reunion is so WACK! Let me break it down for you…
So we all know our history about The Diiplomats being on Roc-A-Fella, Cam developing an animosity toward Jay (or vice-versa, or both, whatever)…then the Roc breaks up and Cam disses Jay, for the most part because he’s Dame’s boy, and Jay was disloyal to dame…then Cam disses 50…then beef is to much for his crew and they grow disloyal toward him…eventually cam and his crew get back together because their solo projects aren’t making them jack shit and their starting to suffer finanically…now even though I am the biggest Jay-Z FAN…I think Jay was mad disloyal, but Cam is a clown now and so are all of Dipset, Juelz is probably the most pathetic of them all because he has mass potential but is stuck with these fools, and Jim is the most obvious about being a bitch…my bad…I just used to love the dips…now they just suck!!!
Jay-Z Book Drops!?
“Decoded”, the memoir of Jay-Z’s life, will finally make it to stores in November even though it has been finished for a number of years. The book, written by author and film maker Dream Hampton, will examine the history of the Hip-Hop mogul though a series of extensive interviews from Jay-Z, his family and friends.
I hope it’s successful…Hip-hop artist memoirs tend to brick…badly. Word to Eminem and 50 Cent.
Travis Barker covers The SOURCE!?!?
Now he’s my favorite drummer and all… & trust me this isn’t about race. This is about quality! Let’s get REAL…Travis Barker on the cover and Bun gets 5mics!? A cover feature would have been nice, but the entire cover!? Is this some type of marketing pun? This is the issue where The Source went from irrelavent to idiotic.
Drake Goes Home!
Drake went back home to give his hometown of Toronto, Canada to give his fans the concert of their lives. Jay-Z and Eminem hit the stage for Drake’s inaugural OVO Festival performance!

Rick Ross wants to sign Wiz Khalifa!?
“I feel like the homie is a superstar,” Ross continued. “We discussed this last week. He’s most definitely loyal to his team. But like I told him, there’s always more to get.”
Apparently these two may become more than just smoking buddies….
Rick Ross recently told Sway at MTV that he wanted to sign Wiz Khalifa to Maybach Music…
Nothing against what Ross can do for Wiz, I understand that he’s trying to build an empire and all… but with a buzz like Wiz’s, he can basically sign with anyone, so why would he sign to another artist!? And to a label titled “Maybach Music”… in my opinion, that’s not Wiz at all! BUT then again Wiz Khalifa over J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League beats? That could work.

RIP Lorenzen Wright (1975-2010)
Yesterday, the body of former Memphis Tiger and Grizzlie basketball star Lorenzen Wright was found after him being missing for over a week. There were so many different reports and stories that I didn’t know what to believe. Finally, yesterday evening it was confirmed that the body was indeed his. To read more on the story, go here. The story is still developing, so I won’t go into any details.
This saddens me so much. I remember watching him as a kid playing for the University of Memphis (and of course having a huge crush on him). He and his family would also visit ny church years ago. I hate the fact that the media focused on his financial woes instead of his accomplishments. The newscasters stood outside of his ex-wife’s home, knocking on the door, while they were inside crying in obvious grief. I wish our city would and will show them some respect during this extremely difficult time. Not only was he a Memphis Tiger, Memphis Grizzly but he was a son, father, husband, brother and friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time of grief and that which is to come.
RIP to our hometown hero Lorenzen Wright. You will truly be missed, but you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
